- Install

- Start
Agent 1.5.
- Select
from the Options menu User and
System Profile.
- Configure
your User Information profiles.
- Select
the User tab.
- Complete
all fields with the appropriate
information.

Server Requires Authorization
Login.
- Enter
your username.
- Check
Remember Password Between
Sessions.
- Enter
your password.
- Configure
your NNTP News server address and SMTP E-Mail
Host.
- Select
the System tab.
- In
the space for News server enter server address eg:
news.news4u2.com
- In
the space for Mail server enter the name
of your services mail server. ( For

This is needed only for e-mailing replies
directly to the sender of a
posting.
- Click
OK.
- Refresh
your groups list.
- From
the Online menu select Refresh
Groups List.

Delete All Extinct
Groups.

This process may take some time depending
upon the speed of your
connection.
- Subscribe
to frequently viewed groups.
- Select
desired group.
- From
the Group menu select
Subscribe.
The subscribe group will show a newspaper
icon if subscribed to.
- Repeat
this procedure for all desired
groups.
- To
show only the subscribed groups:
- From
the Group menu select
Show then select Subscribed
Groups.
- Get
messages in a group

Configuring

Express
- Obtain
a copy of MSIE 4.0 - by visiting

a copy and Install it into the directory of your
choice

Start
Outlook Express
Select
from the Go menu News.
Configure
your User profile
- If
you are adding news4u2 servers in addition to
other news servers:
- From
the Tools menu, select
Accounts...
- Click
the Add button and select
News... from the drop down
menu
- Follow
the instructions provided by the Internet
Connection Wizard.
In the window in which you have to enter the
news server address eg:
news.news4u2.com
check the button "My news server requires me
to log on".
- Click
Next (the Internet news server Logon window
appears).
- Enter
your Account Name and
Password.
- Click
Next
- Select
the appropriate connection to the
Internet.
- Click
Next
- Click
Finish
To
see a list of available Newsgroups now - Window
Pops Up.

Yes if you want to do it now. Then

Get
newsgroups
- Select
from the Tools menu the
Newsgroups, or on the tools bar click
on the News Groups icon. The list of
News Groups available on xrs.news4u2.com
server will be downloaded automatically. The
first time it could take few
minutes.
- To
update the list of News Groups available
click the Reset List Button on the
right hand side.
Subscribe
to frequently viewed groups.
- Select
desired group.
- Click
the Subscribe button.
- Repeat
this procedure for all desired
groups.
- To
Show only the subscribed groups:
- Click
on the Subscribed tab below the
newsgroups list.
- Click
OK
To
start reading articles
- Start
Outlook Express.
- Select
from the Go menu News . The
list of the News Groups that you have
subscribed will appear.
- Select
one of the news groups to which you have
subscribed to and double click, or click on
the News Groups icon to see a list of
available News Groups. This will begin to
download the headers.

on an article header to view the

will need to click twice on an article before
Netscape responds to your retrieve article
command. The first click will usually give you
an error message. The second click should show
the article.

News Rover 5.X
- Obtain
a News Rover Demo by visiting S&H

You will need to obtain a registration code and
register your copy of News Rover for
unrestricted use.
- Install
into the directory of your choice
( i.e. C:/program files/agent/
).
- Start
News Rover.
- Select
the Configure menu. This will bring up
the News Rover Configuration
window.
- Configure
the news server:
- In
the News Rover Configuration window,
select the Server tab.
- Click
the Add Server button.
- Enter
in the pop-up window:

- Check
the Logon authorization required for this
server box.
- Enter
in the Account name: field your

YA Newswatcher 2.4.0
- Obtain
a copy of YA Newswatcher v2.4.0 from a Info-mac
mirror or Umich mirror.

- Start
YA Newswatcher v2.4.0.
- Configure
your NNTP News server address and SMTP E-Mail
Host.
